Christmas in Pittsburgh

Our annual Christmas tradition is to spend Christmas in Pittsburgh with the Roth family. We were so blessed that Matt was able to have 2 whole weeks off of work for the holidays, so we were able to stay a whole week and enjoy some much needed family time with Grandma and Grandpa Roth, Uncle Dan and Aunt Laura. Cal loved every second, waking up extremely early every morning, fearing that he may miss out on special family time. Don't worry buddy, all the lights were off and no one  was downstairs! He didn't quite understand the concept. Minus our sleepless nights, we had a great time and LOVED seeing Cal's joy in opening presents and enjoying the festivities that Christmastime brings.

Started off with a 5 hour drive to Pittsburgh and a napping Cal who would only stay asleep with my hand next to his head.

Aunt Laura reading one of Cal's new books to him.

All ready to go outside!
One of our favorite places to visit is the PPG building where they have a great display of trains, gingerbread houses and Santas from around the world. Cal was enthralled with the trains and wanted to touch all the gingerbread houses.

We found out that our Morris Arboretum membership was reciprocal with the National Aviary in Pittsburgh, so we had to check it out! So many large birds of all kinds flying around and walking around all around us. Cal shouted "caw caw!!" very loudly and many people turned around wondering what kind of "bird" made such a loud sound.

We visited Phipps Conservatory with the family and Cal smelled many flowers (one of his favorite things to do) and ran on every path that he could.

Sniff Sniff

We loved the PPG building so much we visited twice!

Cal loved going on a little hike with Grandma and Grandpa Roth at CHP.

And for his latest trick... fish lips.

We love you Grandma and Grandpa Roth, Aunt Laura and Uncle Dan!
